Replying to Which ski for Whistler ?
So here the deal, next year im moving to Whistler for the season. im starting to buy my gear, buying a trew jacket soon,So I need a powder ski and i need to be set soon as possible, i might buy them at the end of the season or in october next year. So, I'm 5'10 and 161lbs, Im a good skier, not very good in the park ( 2in, 2out and 360's). I ski whit my bro who his a monitor lvl 3 (pesq) and he help me to get better and have some better technique. Im from the east but ive been to SLC two years ago. I dropped some cliff at solitude and Alta and my JJ's was too small.
So for the ski that i have/tried:
- I have some 175cm JJ's ( they are to small, to soft and i want something new) i won't bring them at whistler, I might sell them for cheap or give them to my bro.
- I have some kung fujas, i really like them, fun, soft and they are my park ski. (i don't take them whit me)
- I have some salomon twenty twelve in 179cm, I will bring those ski in whistler as my park ski and every day ski.
- Other ski that i tried and like : Salomon shogun, salomon dumont, Armada JJ's 185cm, Atomic Blog.
So im looking for a ski in the 115-130mm range and 180cm+. I want something that will be good for trees, bowls, dropping cliff and something stiff but not to much. I need a ski whit some camber or a ski that hold up well on the groomers (still need to get back to the lift)
So far i was looking for the Salomon rocker 2 in 184cm ( i have some big deal whit salomon, i paid my 2012 whit sth14 driver 500$), Line opus 185cm, HEllbent in 189cm, next year petitor, black crows sevun 191cm, 4frnt renagade 186cm. On3p caylor.
If you have some suggestion let me know, i don't really have price range, i just don't have the money for some dps :( I will mount this ski whit sth16
+k for help or bump, sorry for the long read, let me know if i forgot something and sorry for my english, it's my second language.
