Ya know, some people request this at a dance, so what's a DJ gonna do, not play it? No the DJ plays some dubstep to keep the dubsteppers happy while playing a balance of other tunes.
This is making fun brostep, not dubstep. There is plenty of good dubstep, its just not played in shitty clubs and wherever else people go to listen to skrillex and flux pavillion.
You seem to have misunderstood my post. I do not like bro-step, i found the video to be very funny. However, that is not what good dubstep is, dubstep doesn't suck.
If you go to England you'll find a more diverse range of dub tracks. Its fine that you wish to maintain this idea of "dubstep sucks ololol," and a lot of the stuff you hear does indeed suck... but to say its all shit without even considering the merits of legitimate dub artists is kinda stupid.
Its like saying all rock sucks because Nickleback is shit... or all rap sucks because of Lil B and Rick Ross etc.
I'm not gonna pretend that the two are unrelated, what some of us call brostep is definitely evolved from dubstep but it's about the same difference as.. fuck I don't know, a cork 5 blunt to a switch triple rodeo? does that make sense?
Dubstep's got a longish history in the UK (since before I knew what music was) and it's changed a lot over the years. Here's a little taste:
there are similar features but it's also way different in overall style
Can you retards stop calling dubstep dub for fucks sake please? I know you're trying to sound hip with abbreviations, but they're completely different genres.
