Quick what to buy question...

so i had my 16th birthday a couple weeks ago and my grandma gets something special (pricy) for all her grandchildren on their 16th. I need some help on what to ask for, the terms are.

must be something that will last a long part of my life.
the price range is a max of 300
must be a brand new product

so any ideas? i have absolutely no idea at all lol. i need to answer her soon or she will buy a suitcase for me she threatens....

Yo honestly you should take her up and have her get you some luggage. My parents went to italy a two years ago and hooked it up with a really nice leather travel bag. Probably a little more pricy than 300 but still you have to pay a lot for good luggage. Anyway, it's really nice i bring it as my carry on all the time when i fly and When I go stay in the mountains it holds all my clothes, outerwear, and toiletries.

Go for the suitcase. I have also met some milfs at the airport due to my bag. It sets you apart from the 20 year old rocking the jansport backpack when you have a nice bag with you.

Suit or an alright watch. You can get some decently classy watches for under 300 and you'll keep it for years. Just don't get a nixon or something.

I'm not saying that they aren't good watches, I'm wearing one right now to be honest. But they aren't the kind of keepsake watch that you would look at and remember where you got it. I've got 2 watches that I got for graduating highschool and college that I wear on nice occasions and take care of. And then I've got this watch that I use daily and don't mind beating up.

I dont know your standards but a $300 for a suit for a 16 year old seems reasonable. Hell im 28 and spent $80 at h&m for a coat and pants for a wedding last weekend.

Damn dude, for real? I'm only 16 as well, but at that age, I would imagine that a suit could last you a damn long time, and imo you might as well shell out some cash for a suit that fits well, rather than cheap out and look sloppy...

This. The lack of free will in our generation is pathetic. I don't expect to change anything, but I love to grind the gears of the complacent. Maybe I'm a bad person, but to me, people who go their whole lives wearing blinders are genuinely laughable.

Hell, I've got my own set of blinders, I just notice those who have skinnier ones than I, and it is either utterly depressing of truly hilarious, depending on how you choose to look at it.

Like some people already said, definitely a dope accessory piece. Watch, wallet, tie, are all sick options. You can get an alright suit too, although chances are you'll grow out of it, and $300 really won't get you a particularly nice suit. Dress shoes might be cool too if your feet are done growing.

ya 300 dollars might get you a made to measure suit, but sooner than later depending if you go into a job that requires a suit, you're going to have to get a better one. you're better off putting the 300 dollars towards an item that will come with the highest quality for that price.

300 dollars buys an average made to measure suit. doesn't really exude class.
300 dollars buys a good quality pen and a good quality tie. both exude some degree of class.

Maybe try and do something special with her instead of letting her buy you a gift. I'd much prefer that than some luggage.

grey owl makes a real nice canoeing paddle, i have a couple, love my chieftain which is made of cherry and has a great flex, if you are into canoeing i suggest checking them out! but if not, i definitely agree to getting a nice accessory, like a watch, wallet, etc. a real nice watch is timeless.
