Alright, so I have been skiing my entire life. I ride eastern hardpack and groomers in Pennsylvania (no pow here, espcially with this shitty winter we've been having). I only started using twins and riding park about 6 years ago. I dont do park very much because not alot of my friends ride park, so I am more of an all mountain skier. I want to/plan to ride more and more park though. Right now I am about 5'9", 185ish and ride 167 4FRNT STL (Steele Pence model 07/08?) with FKS bindings and a way old pair of 168 Rossignol Scratches with Rossi's freestyle 100 binding. The STLs are mounted at center (I think this is why I feel they are short) and my Scratches are mounted -1cm.  I like both skis but I feel like I need to go bigger. Maybe like 172 or 174. I like a light ski that will last with durability. I dont do much jumps, just small air 3s and 180s. I like to do  mostly rails and boxes. Are there any skis that you guys can suggest that I would like that come in size 172-175 that would be good for me? preferably not too too expensive. Your feedback is much appreciated. +K for help.

Volkl bridges! Line blends, something like that. Or even just a stiffer park ski. People don't really admit this but a stick park ski is basically your al mtn ski on the east coast. Slightly fat enough to hold up in some freshest, and will rip in trees (especially with center mount) and hold up on groomers. The exception to this is the odd deep pow day... Sadly rare

Rossignol Storm! 92waist, soft, as light as the atomic punx(no kidding). It would suit you nicely unless you charge.

definitely doesn't need anything like that. I would say that the chronics, ar7's or any other stiffer park ski should hold up just fine.

I am 5'8 and I have 176's and 173's so you are right in saying that you need a longer ski, but yeah pretty much anything that is considered a stiffer ski should hold up great. I mean I have punx which are considered soft and other than chattering they seem to hold up fine in trees/ groomers.

I would say either alpha 1 s or ar7s both are a little stiff and i know that the ar7s hold up great for east coast all mtn and park, the advantages to the alpha is that it has rocker so it will be a little easier to go thrugh crud and it will feel softer on rails becuse of the early rise. They also have a much faster turning radius but i have never skiied them, either of these skis you would be very happy with, if you want to learn a little more you can visit armadaskis.com Ps you would want to go with a longer size with the alpha because of the rocker makeing the ski ski shorter

I thought that the rocker system was used mostly out west? Ive never had rockered skis. My buddy has the Armada Halos which are rockered but he does alot more skiing than me and goes out west as well. What is the difference between riding the rocker skis and normal concave skis? thanks. +K to you guys as well!

I have never skiied on rockered skis but from what i have read they are easier to ski through powder and crud, i know you will be east coast so you wont use this very often, however the ski still hase camber underfoot so there is still good tracrion, the ski also has a very quick turnig radius wich is helpfull in trees, the rocker makes the tips and tails softer so its good for rails but it is also a pretty stiff ski so it is very stable, check out armadaskis.com it will help you understand better what i am trying to say

Check out the Line Blend (rockered), or the Surface Watch Life (regular camber). Both have similar dimensions, and both will excel pretty much everywhere you want them to

I'm 5' 8" 157lbs i ski the 173 Blend for everyday ski. Slides rails and boxes very well, holds up well on jumps of all sizes, easy to manuver in bumps and trees. and I just got back from skiing them at Big Sky and Moonlight Basin MT...didn't have much fresh snow, but they did great in the little stashes of 5" here and there that we found. Also skied some really sttep stuff off of the tram and dropped a couple of small (6' - 8') cliffs and they did great!

well i live in iowa and we pretty much have the same snow conditions and i was looking at some all mountain twins as well. a few skis i found were liberty antigens and coreupt candide yards

Thanks for all the responses guys. I was looking at AR7s, just gotta sell my other skis first to get some money to buy them ha. I looked at the Corrupts but they seemed cheap to me, Idk maybe its just me. I want to go with a company that I know will be reliable. +k to all of you too!
