Hey Newschoolers.
So this weekend I was using the go pro on the helmet mount. I managed to knock off the go pro, while it was still in the helmet mount - aka, the adhesive failed and the whole thing come off.
Side note: for a highly entertaining video of this check out my page.
Anyway. My question is, has anyone had experience remounting a head mount piece when it has fallen off? Super glue?
I can always just buy a new one, but I'd rather not if I donthave to.
Thanks guys, any help is much appreciated.
Matt
yeah, just get a new mount. I don't see anything else holding up better, just remember to clamp it and let it sit 8-12 hours before use depending on how OCD you are about things being perfect. Oh and like any adhesive don't try to stick in on things in the cold, it's better if you do it in your house or an equally warm place.
what i did is put the adhesive mount on, let it dry, applied tape in the area around the mount, then filled in the gaps with epoxy. after it's almost settled, you take the tape off and there will be no epoxy on your helmet, and it'll only be under the mount.
