Every morning i wake up. take a poop. grab a coffee and most likely jump on newschoolers to see what funny new or interesting thing i can find in NSG to start my day. so in coordinance with a nice bowl of cereal perhaps i might go and take a look at why take the internet seriously thread or some kids alias posting a video that you know is going to be something totally illogical and will take a precious chunk of time out of your day but you still go to view it anyways.
10 minutes later roomate comes out in the living room and pops on tv. He happens to look over at your computer, to most of us members on here it might be something funny to us but to the "outsiders," its twisted and weird. so he asks me in a concerned voice, "what website are you on?" me, "oh it's this skiing website." as i continue viewing. him, "that doesn't look like a skiing website." me, " oh well it is but theres something called forums that you can post other things non related to skiing to." him, "then why is it a skiing website." i usually just stop at this point and respond with a nevermind.
Also another instance where i might find an inside joke such as, how do i get to chads gap from the bottom of alta or tanners broken ankels, in response to someone elses post. i might LOL and they ask me whats so funny? its kind of hard to explain soemthing like that and usually when i try they kind of just end up saying some comment about how they dont get it
so in the end of this whole rant. how do you explain newschoolers to somebody who has now idea what to think whenthey see you looking at pictures of funny cat meme's or anything else in NSG?
