I just got about 5 inches of fresh snow in my neighborhood and theres this rail that in the perfect place to ski right up the hill from my house. I dont have a snow shaping tool but i have a snow shovel, it is about 30 degrees and the snow is good for a jump. Does anyone have any advice on how to set up a little kicker or whatever you call them to get on to the rail about halfway down the stairs? I dont know how to set up a good jump. I read a thread on how to set up a jump in the backcountry a while ago and it said make big blocks of snow, stack them, and fill in the extra with other snow and pack it down then let the jump set, the snow needs to harden and pack together from my understanding. Does anyone have any tips or tutorial somewhere on how to set up the snow to get on the rail?
I can go take pictures if neccesary
Thanks
