Be careful out there with the shitty icy conditions we got. Was skiing at Silverton today for my first time and a guide tells me that this chute i was about to drop into is pretty much a no fall zone. And that someone had fell, slid down the run and couldnt dig an edge into the snow to stop herself. unfortunately she slid the length of the run (head first?)and died. quite an interesting thing to hear right as your about to drop in...
so those of you with not so prime conditions be careful and maybe not charge as hard on these slick steep runs.
RIP to this woman.
