Hi,
I have been using my Rossi S7 junior skis which are 160cm long and have normal camber and everything for the past year and a half or so, I have progressed a ton with my skiing since I got them but I still can't tell if it is just me or the ski but when I am going pretty fast in choppy snow I can definately tell that my skis are shaking and bouncing all over the place. I also have a hard time staying balanced in deep powder and I know I could get better at that and new skis won't be the complete fix but I am 135 lbs and like 5'8 so do you think these skis I am riding are too short? Also, if I got new skis will throwing spins be more difficult if I got a pair of longer powder skis that would most likely be more heavy or is it really not much difference at all? I was thinking about some Atomic Blog skis in 177 length but I would have to use them AT LEAST until the END of next season so I don't know if I would outgrow them until then. But then again the only people you see on a ski about 185 in length are either the extremely good free skiers or really tall people.
And I have the money to buy skis right now ($560) but I would have to sell my current Rossi's (with the bindings) which have at least two coreshots that I know of and plenty of scratches from hitting rocks that did not make it through the base's. I would use that money from the skis for the bindings on new skis. I was thinking I could get at least 200 for them but I would need to find out the cost of repairing the bases.
