Oh what a deadly combo, teachers and VCR's, nothing is worse.
For whatever reason, teachers have great skill in writing, spelling, and all that stuff, but when it comes to playing a movie for a class, there is always some sort of trouble.
For the average person, a VCR (or a DVD player) is a fairly simple thing to use. Turn on the power, put in the tape (or DVD), press play, and then rewind at the end (even with a DVD).
Teachers though, have some problem with VCR's, they just don't work together. Maybe it's because teachers and VCR's had a great war many years ago, and the VCR's lost, and now refuse to do the evil teacher's bidding, or the teacher's are just technology illiterate. Personally, I think it's the latter.
To them, it must be the abbreviations of something. 'REW,' 'FF,' 'PLAY,' or maybe it's the symbols you know, the carrot things, the box, and the absolute value symbol. I don't know.
I guess a remote control is the Rubik's Cube for teachers worldwide.
