Alright firstly specs: I'm around 6,2 weigh 155 lbs, ski pretty aggressively, size 12 foot (I can't remember what size the boot I tried on was and my normal boots have lost their tags).
Alright so I need new boots. My current boots are some old Atomic classic 4 buckle boots that have given me toe bang to the point where my big toes literally bleed after skiing, it's ridiculous I didn't think I could get toebang this badly. Shinbang is also a problem, but it usually only lasts a day after skiing.
I was able to go down to a ski shop and decided to try on some Full Tilts because they have some fancy liner/padding and the 3 piece construction that supposedly removes shinbang. I choose the Booters because they were some of the only boots wide enough to fit my feet. The one thing I didn't get a feel for was the flex. Walking around in the boot gave me perspective as to how comfortable it was and how well it held my foot in place while moving. However I don't think I got a good feel for the flex, I mean they felt fine walking, but thats definitely not the same as the pressure you put on your boots when skiing down a steep hill or landing a large jump.
Also, I do plan on getting these truly fitted with heat molding, but I know they fit comfortably already so thats not an issue. My main concern is that the tongues flex says 4 which seems almost to soft. I know I can also get stiffer tongues, in which case I'll get the 6 flex influence tongue). If anyone can tell me their opinions of the booter boot and its it would be appreciated.
