Studying abroad in Copenhagen, Denmark next Fall

Hey Guys-

Anyone know any information on Copenhagen and also the skiing they offer.

Where I can go? How expensive? etc.

Also, any other things to know about going there?

Copenhagen is one of the most expensive places to live in the world. Been there once when i was younger, from what i remember it was pretty cool.

sont think you will find a lot of skiing going on in copenhagen. Denmark isnt really the country with a lot of mountains... you could do some trips to norway though. They got pretty rad stuff

Denmark, and Copenhagen to be exact, is goddamn expensive if you don't know where to look for bargains on anything. If the Kristianstad community is open to visitors, you absolutely have to go there at least once, chillest people in the world.

I'm assuming there's not much skiing in the whole country, but I've only been there in the summer. You could try to fly anywhere else in the Nordic countries with Norwegian Air to get to some better skiing for cheap, the flights are like 30 dollars. I think you should travel around Northern Europe as much as possible anyway given this great opportunity from a super-flexible travel hub.

What are you studying and which school you going to?

You do know that Denmark is almost totally flat, right? The highest point is Yding Skovhøj with 172,66 meters above sea level. There's no ski resorts in Denmark, but if you live in Copenhagen you have like an hour and a half (I think. I'm not from copenhagen) to the nearest swedish ski resort, Valåsen.. If there is any snow. And then there is Snowdome Bispingen in Hamburg, which is like a four hour drive.

And then there is this.

They're open every saturday in february.

Get a bike. You'll see them literally everywhere. The city is really well designed for cyclists. There are bike lanes everywhere. Be prepared to see everyone riding bikes too. From kids to adults to women in dresses and heels to business men in suits with briefcases. Everyone on bikes.

Sorry I can't help with skiing.

My friend just did a semester abroad there in the fall. She just got back like two weeks ago.

Housing prices are extremely expensive and watch out for ppl trying to cheat you and send money ahead. There were multiple ppl that tried to do that to her. Defs get a bike for sure too and traveling throughout europe is quite cheap and often the best way to travel is by buying last minute flights. Also the international student scene is huge there and you will be able to go out and party easily 5-6 days a week.

Oh yeah I forgot to add. In Denmark they have 12 day weeks. You should also start trying getting used to this and changing your schedule into a 12 day week too.

im gonna go study abroad there or Norway 2 years from now, unfortunately there is no skiing but when i go i always bike everywhere weather its bmx or road its a great place to be, i remember my family spending the equivalent of 50 usd on a single pizza i think that's around 300 krone, o and drinking age is 14 extra bonus

Basics things on Denmark:

Expensive. Everything costs a lot if you compare it to the states. But that's probably the case with most countries since the American economy is what it is. You might find cheap alcohol though.

Drinking age is 16, but it's not enforced so much. One of times I was there I was 13, and one of my friends, also 13 and tiny for his age, went in to a store and straight up bought a bottle of Baileys. So that's a thing.

If you smoke weed, it won't be hard to find dealers.

Denmark is the only country in Europe in wich the life expectancy is decreasing. It is said to be because of the booze and the tobacco.

Beautiful in many different ways. Beaches, the sea, the architecture, all of it basically. The girls are nice, but I'd still say they're better looking here in Sweden. But you'll find that solid 7:s are not really solid 7:s, but more like 5:s.

No skiing. Highest elevated point in the country 172 meters above sea level. Snow is rare. Nearest skiing is Vallåsen in Sweden, but that is tiny tiny hill with lots of useless danish people. If you are planning on getting a car, the alps are just a few Autobahn-hours away.

Consider a trip to Sweden. We are the best country in the world. Stockholm is a really nice city, and you can take the train from Copenhagen, super easy. Or well, you can probably take the train almost anywhere in Europe. Netherlands, France, The Alps, Italy etc. Go there.

Sweden is really nice, but people from Stockholm tend to be duchebags sometimes. Speaking from experience. I'n sure there are some nice people there too though. Denmark is sick, copenhagen is too. Girls are hot, and a og you look around you'll find bars and clubs where you pay like 10 dollars to get in, and then the bar is free! Go to Norway or Sweden for skiing, and stay for at least a weekend. All the resorts have a bunch of cabins and winter homes around the slopes, finding a party is not hard. And check out the apre skis! So much fun
