hey ns, i'm going to need new skis next year and new bindings too, just trying to think ahead about what i'm going to buy and make sure i get informed. i only have experience with one pair of binders, my rossi axial 2 100s. (got em cheap). i'd like to get some FKS/pivot 140s, but those are pretty $$ and i want to know that they are worth it. I'm about 5'9", 135 lbs, and i have 28.5 fulltilts. i've skied park for 2 years now. I've also been looking into some px12s which i could probably find really cheap somewhere, much cheaper than the FKS. i don't think i need more than a 12 din binding from my weight/foot size, so would the fks be too much for what i need? thanks ns for all suggestions and +k. don't be a dick, i'm just trying to get some suggestions from other skiers who have had more experience with different bindings.
You could get away with the 12 din binding but the rossi fks 14 is an awesome binding. Mind you Im about 170 pounds though. But I have them on both of my skis and love them to death
More of a question of durability. The FKS are probably a little more durable and will hold up to abuse better, but it might be a wasted upgrade if you arent hard on bindings. Depends how you've fared in the past really.
yeah like i've said, i don't have a whole lot of experience with different bindings. durability is always good though, and when i get new skis, i could just slap them on. in terms of weight though, which one would weigh more? the cheaper, plastic px12s? or the more durable but pricey FKS?
