I need some help guys...im looking for a second pair of skis to use on the days that have some deep snow. ep pro and hellbent i can get sweet deals on with bindings already, so those are what i am really looking at cuz im 16 and dont have much money. im a pretty small guy, about 5'8", 140, so im looking for the lightest and most maneuverable one.
i have never skied either of them so dont take my word for it, but i have heard that the hellbent is pretty heavy so if you are looking for the lighter of the two, i would go for the EP pro
1st, from which years EP pros and Hellebents are we talking? And I think it all depends on what kind of powder skiing style you want to archive in my opinion. I have hellbents, and I love them. This is only cus I take them out on super deep days though where I ski POW only, like 0 groomers. I have to admit hellbents suck ass for groomers, charging big AK lines, and really tight trees, BUT for Pillows, BC Booters and really, like really deep days they are just the best.
I like the fact that they have a bit of weight, I skied with my friends JJ's once and it felt like feathers under my feet that would get blown away any second I tried to make a big turn or when I got some air time.
