I realized that there are an incredibly wide array of people on this site....so I got to thinking it could be cool to write questions for specific nationalities or regions (South, West or East of NA).

So for all you Swedes out there - what beer do you typically drink? What is a good Swedish beer?

I'm not a connoisseur when it comes to beer, but a Newcastle Brown Ale is what I mostly drink if I can pick myself

for swedish beers I think most of them just taste like water, but Indianviken Pale Ale is a good one!

A real question, for you Canadians up there, do you guys know alot aboot (notice i used aboot, Minnesota is basically Canada) our individual states? I get the impression that alot of americans couldnt name but 1-2 of the provinces....

if I'm writing them down as I go I can name every state. I can also name every country in the world though. But on average I'd say if you went to a random person in Ottawa here they'd be able to name 15ish states.

eh is a polite way of turning a statement into a question.

example ,

rather than saying "yo that was a pretty sick move!"

you'd say..

"yo that was a pretty sick move, eh?"

it's a way of encouraging a conversation rather than just saying shit. we're nice people. we like to have other's get involved too :]

I'll take a shout at this as well, just to say that this applies to most of the Western countries, I'd suppose.

Had to learn your states and capitals in junior high for some reason. Not the provinces of Canada, though, but there aren't that many right? Ontario, Nova Scotia, Quebec, British Columbia, Alberta, Newfoundland... that's all I got.

Im going to take this as the north and south of great Britain. We dont so much, some people more than others but its all a good bit of banter really.

And to the guy talking about mum and muthers, try listening to a posh kid talk to there mum, it sounds like muuuther

Yeah it's mainly for weddings, formal things - If an event is black tie I'll usually rock my kilt.

Other than that people where them at sports events like international rugby or football, but usually a shit load more casual than a full dress (formal) kilt.

There are also the unlucky souls who work in kilt shops and tartan tat shops (if you've ever been to Scotland those are the ones blasting shitty covers of scottish songs and trying to sell you a kilt beach towel and other crap otherwise known as the tourist economy) and some of them require that you wear a kilt everyday as your job.

Also there is the odd old guy up north or on the islands who's always wearing a kilt.

And yup I am actually Scottish.

When I was in grade 6 I had tests on Canadian, US and world   history/ social studies BS. This inculded looking at a US map and name and matching something like a minimum of 25 states (but listing all names).
