How does it get old especially in the context of this issue? I mean, these are very situation-based circumstances and warfare is a specialized field where not many people know what their talking about and have little, to no credibility as they lack the proper experience. The psychology of war is much different from a suburban citizen, so how does "unless you have been in situation x" argument get old?

On a side note, I think picking out a few words from a whole cohesive statement and then tearing it apart gets old even quicker Mr. Mike-O. You can't grasp full concepts and so you hide behind little snippets like a late-night news pundit.

I think its funny how people think this is really crazy for a country to do.. Wow american soilders pissed on people trying to kill them.. I feel like you guys arent looking at the bigger picture. Look at almost half of the middle east countries and see what fucked up shit there government is doing. The darfur genocide? the government payed a bunch of militias to go destroy the fuck out of everyone. Now in my opinion that it is way for fucked up for a government to kill there own people than to have a couple soilders representing our country and government to piss on some towel head fucks. I dont want to sound ignorant to the situation cause i dont know much about those but i do know that america went in to save civilian lives.. or atleast this is what i learned about those in school. BUT i wont deny that america does tend to overkill things, imo to set an example. I remember reading this on here a while ago but someone compared america to a Middle school Principal that sits back and watches and watches and decides to step in and make an example right at the end and it made sense to me haha. Not always true but somewhat. Just my opinion, not trying to add to this ignorance of a shitstorm that is hard to read

The major issue in this thread is people trying to portray an image to a whole country. If it is about Americans or about things America has done/had done to them. People always try and put their image of something in some spots but in other situations it just doesnt apply.

Ha, I just wanted to emphasise the silliness of the God situation.

While not been out there somewhere, fighting a prolonged and useless war, I've been trained in the army, had bullets whisking over my head, grenades and dynamite blow up not more than a few meters away and I even had the luck of someone shooting a shotgun near me when my headphones failed on me, leading to five hours in a pressure chamber and forever worsened hearing in my ear.

I might not know what war feels like, but I know the psychology of war, being prepared to die for... whatever the fucking reason, your loved ones okay. I'm one of the less patriotic people you'll find on this globe, but if shit goes down, I will go out there and defend my family and fight for my friends. I didn't feel like this until a few years ago, but now I've accepted it.

That soldier's statement is understandable, but when it comes to defending the actions of those soldiers once again it goes wrong. They have no reason to be there. Desecrating bodies, it's a no-no - at least on film. it doesn't matter what your enemy does, they come from a culture of Sharia law, where beheadings, hangings and cutting people and bodies up is still commonplace. Stooping to their level is the wrong thing to do, they live for this shit and now they have a free Al-Qaida recruitment video once again.

Like said earlier, the name of this thread, battled over and over, is a bit misleading. Even typical marines would be farfetched I guess, but the things said here have at least been more than "shut the fuck up" which is positive.

So for those of you candy ass can't hang mo fos some of these actions stem from the way the armed forces train their troops, they train em hard to be lean mean killin machines, they train them/you to bond into a unit,into a unit where you know every other swingin dick in that unit has your back and is willing to
die to drag your body off the battle feild so that the enemy doesn't piss on or otherwise fuck your bros corpse. You drill this shit endlessly, you can not show up on the bayonet course and when asked what is the spirit of the bayonet and respond "get some cash for college and fuck lots of chicks". You respond the spirit of the bayonet is "TO MOTHERFUCKIN KILL" or they run your sissy fuckin ass out or fuck with you till you get with the program. Now sadly like any other form of brain washing some get into it a bit much.
Shit like this has gone down in damn near every war, just takes a clueless retard to film it and put it on the web.

Yes i agree the Taliban need stopping/wiping out, and many of my fellow countrymen have been killed by them. There just seems to be a theme of using the 9/11 attacks as an excuse for anything.

PS. they're professional soldiers, and should've had more sense. If they were gonna do it, why film it.

Point 1: While it is true that Islam is technically an "Abrahamic" religion, they do not consider Allah to be the same God worshiped by Christians or Jews. Later verses of the Koran explicitly state that all forms of worship to God, except under Islam, is an abomination. In fact, they're so fucking stupid that Sunnis consider Shiite worship an abomination and vice versa. The Koran is not a book of stories like the Torah or Bible, but rather a book full of commandments that must be followed absolutely.

Point 2: Without oil, the Middle East would be the same backwater the same backwater it has been since the 12th century. The only reason there is any money there is because of oil. It is extremely unfortunate that that oil was not found under Australia or North America instead, it's actually quite tragic. Only out of necessity do we do business with religious zealots.

By the way, there is no such thing as "Palestine" or "Palestinians, that is an Arab invention made to unite Islam against the Jews. The country of Israel was a complete backwater until the Jews moved back in. Aerial photographs show that the population of present day Israel at the fall of the Ottoman Empire was no more than around 300,000. A significant portion of these people were Jews and Coptic Christians. It was only when the Jews came back that Muslims moved back in search of work. Crazy! The Jews actually made the Muslims better off! Who'd have thunk?

By the way, if these countries have such "small ass problems" how come all these fuckers are moving into (and being allowed into) Europe in droves (another great tragedy).

Point 3: I'm done with you, you're clearly a moron, but hopefully there are a few level headed people who will read this and know the truth.

The only stance you can take against Muslims is one of power, it's the only thing they respect. The Israelis know this, unfortunately world opinion does not allow them to go as far as they should.

Alright now you've pissed me off. How the fuck do we have no respect? Are you in the military? Have you ever seen your friends dying around you? Have you ever pulled the trigger and watched somebody drop to the ground? Do you know the mental stress we go through everyday even being stateside and in training. Just being away from home is enough to drive you insane. It's a lot different than being away in college so I guess you're spoiled ass wouldn't understand. Those three men are terrorists. The deserve to have pork shoved in their mouths and be buried upside down in a mud pit. My friend is an Army Sniper. He watched his friend get shot in the fucking face. You know what he did? He killed the motherfucker that ended a young mans life and who knows how many other innocents, including the Afghan civilians and he took that bastards turban. My point is you don't know what those men have seen or been subjected to so think before you fucking open your insignifigant mouth ever again. Until you join and know what our lives are like. Do not fucking speak about the military in a negative sense ever again.

These doucebag marines have compromised our mission in Afghanistan and elsewhere in the world. I don't know what your direct mission is or was, but it is very hard to convince a village elder that we have their best interest in mind when the Taliban comes by with that video. Imagine spending 6-12 months conducting COIN operations with various villages, and building trust with those villages such that they come to us, to help solve their problems, rather than the Taliban, or local warlord. That 7 months of developing trust just went goodby in less then 2 minutes when the locals see that video.

Yes, war sucks, I know. Yes, we have watched Americans get murdered and have their bodies disgraced. American soldiers and marines however are held to a higher standard. These marines were failed by either their corporal, or sgt, who needed to provide the leadership and guidance in this situation. I would expect field grade ART15s (NGP since they are Marines), for these Marines, if not other than honorable discharge under the UCMJ. I expect the Leadership 4 levels up will never be promoted again, if not fired. I would personally fire their team leader and recomend to fire their squad (section ) leader to my 1SG If this happened in my plt.
