Im a pretty green skier. But from what I've read, probably Rettalack, Niseko, Chamonix, Alta, Haines. That's probably my top 5 but I don't really know loaded like I said. Mica Heliskiing looks great also, and I just read an article in powder about Georgia, the country. Apparently where they border with Russia, (right by Sochi) is incredible. From the pictures, it looked like something totally new, and I was impressed. The only problem with it is the turmoil and terrorist attacks that area is in, but most of that happens on the Russian side (as per the article) So that's my top 5 and some Insight, but Honestly I'd love to go to more places then the five. Won't happen.

So the Ski town in Georgia (Country) is Mestia. Read all about it in Powder's 4th issue this year (40.4) really good read! Looks unbelievable. Thoughts on Mestia anyone?

la grave-i went there once 5 years ago, been thinking about going back nonstop ever since

chamonix-never skied there while i was in france, so gotta do it for obvious reasons

baffin island-this place looks awesome, probably has some of the most euro style skiing in north america, and its in my own country too which makes it that much more awesome.

hmm #5...could go to a ton of different places, russia looks pretty dope...but so does antartica

^ funny to show a wall of moguls as what you want to shred before you die. Maybe I would have posted that twelve years ago before I had a clue. My list includes 1) Mica Heli/the Stoke/Rogers Pass 2) Niseko/Hakkoda-san, Japan 3) Las Lenas & Valle Nevado 4)AK 5) Four Valleys, Switzerland/Cham X) more zones closer to home via sled and skin access (Wyoming)

Sweet to see that ive skied alot of the places everybody is listing. The top 5 places I want to ride are Jackson Hole, Niseko, La graves, anywhere in chile, and mt baker.

1. AK, not a resort, but want to go so bad.
2. Gulmarg

4. Las Lenas
5. Krasnaya Polyana

Everyone who put Niseko on the list, good call, it's been insane this season, best snow in the world, hands down. One that I haven't seen at all, but should be on more lists is Portillo, Chile. It's absolutely amazing there, strongly recommend it.

I like this thread.

Ideally, I’d like to ski on every continent before I die. But to get slightly more specific and to echo what many have posted already:

Somewhere in Japan

Somewhere in the Alps (France/Switzerland…Chamonix, La Plange…)

Somewhere South America (Las Lenas or Portillo)

And there are so many places I still want to explore in North America (Alaska, Jackson, Alta, Whistler - in the winter, Squaw, Mammoth, Baker, Silverton, Revy/Red/Whitewater – this year hopefully, and countless others as well.)

Side note:

I see a lot of you guys are saying Retallack. Well, I went last March, on a whim, by myself, spent all my money and…IT WAS AWESOME. The people, snow, terrain, vibe…everything exceeded my expectations. Completely worth it. It’s only 5 hours from Spokane too. It was so good that I am even going back for a couple days this year with a friend(s). I just check out the website and there are still some open seats available for this year too. I justified spending the money by thinking that, “if I’m going to ski Retallack I want to jump off some cliffs and try some pillow lines so I’d better do this now while I’m still relatively young, healthy, and not too much of a pussy.”

3.Jumping the train at Donner Lake. Doesnt look like its gonna happen this year. Next year for sure.. AKA Coldstream Canyon.

4.Hiking for lines in Yosemite.
