I was always a extra sharp aged white cheddar guy, but the other day the wifey brought home some smoked gruyere... and holy moly am I in love.

You gotta try smoked gruyere people! I had it with crackers, in a bacon smoked gruyere meatloaf, and also in mashed potatoes. Damn is it good.

Have you ever tried smoked gruyere by any chance? I would say its very similar except the gruyere is probably a little less sharp tasting and has a more creamy texture.If you like smoked gouda though you will love smoked gruyere.

my grandpa gets that frequently,   hes a cheese guy.
im not a huge fan.   its okay but not close to my favorite

my dad got one recently that was really good but we dont know what its called,   it had some balsamic wax or something.

Im a cheese noob but i like the spicey, smokey kind.

I dont know what it is but especially with milder cheeses i could eat them all day. I read somewhere that cheese has some sort of addictive property

Guys, Bleu isn't a cheese either, rather a family of cheeses. You're most likely thinking Gorgonzola or Roquefort, possibly Stilton
