i suck at park, I've been skiing for 12/13 years and i just started park about a month ago, i can do the basics on about half of the features in our park but I'm one of the only girls on our hill that skis park and its kind of discouraging, i ride with all guys and there all crazy good. Im just looking for tips on how to make 270 off box's n rail's easier, steezier. also how to 270 on. I'm hoping to progress n get noticed one day, cuz more girls need to do park, its kinda sad that none of us do! also any tips on B-flips? ( kinda sketched to try one, broke my back awhile back and now have bad back issues) easy enough to try throwing one? thanks
I hate this mindset kids have nowadays of "oh I NEED to progress" maybe not you specifically, moreso those who are just starting park for their first season before they even learned to properly ski. Just go and ski, when you feel up to it try something new and fun, but no pressure I don't want my parks vibe to be like a gymnastics gym.
*may not pertain to op, I'm just tired of these I need to get better threads.
as far as actual tips go, just repetition until you are comfortable, watch others, what they do, and try to emulate their technique. I think it was the backy during your first season that rubbed me the wrong way.
My friends really go for progression where as i am just happy sucking as bad as I do now and slowly slowly getting better. I dont think their way is wrong, they are super fun to ski with and all that, just different approaches.
well I've been skiing for a long time n can do backs flat so its just kinda a goal I've had for awhile, even before i started in the park. But thanks !
just land with your edge on the side of the rail/box and then just bring it around and you'll front 270. For back 270 just slide your foot up the box and you'll feel you're edge and just pop around to back 2 out. Backflip is pretty straight forward you just have to build up the confidence the just work on spins with grabs and flat 3's
