I got in touch with a student at UCLA. She saw a
article that was published yesterday in the Summit Daily News about my
dad who frequently travels to Central Asia and specifically Kyrgyzstan
http://www.summitdaily.com/article/20120108/NEWS/120109855
She herself is going to Krygryzstan in Feburary to film a documentary
about a local Krygyz man and his efforts to develop ecotourism and
skiing in his country. His efforts are not only to help create a more
sustainable economy for his children and the children of Kyrgyzstan but
to also bring awareness from his government about the importance of
protecting the countries natural resources.
Krygyzstan is a very mountainous country and touches the heart of any
ski/mountain lover from around the world. I myself had an opportunity
to travel to Central Asia in 2008 (http://lostinerinland.blogspot.com/2010/04/central-asia-2008.html) and it I instantly warmed to the people, the culture, and the land.
She is trying to raise money for her trip and the films production and is asking for any help and donation.

I will continue to be in contact with her to try to see what else I can
do on the US end to help out this Krygyz man in his plight to help
develop his vision.
I myself plan on getting in touch with 40 Tribes ski tours and some other industry contacts I have to do some other work too.
