after being asked by a few people how i made my ski pants skinny-er i decided to make this on paint explaining the process please note that sewing ski pants can affect the waterproofing of them so only do it if you really want skinny pants [img]405490[/img]

the excess thread?? cut it or just sew through the same hole a few times to strengthen the end of the stitch

i just left it, it doesn't bother me too much and it would probably damage the waterproofing even more

i had some XL holden chicks pants, i've tried with a large nike and they seem alright, wouldnt recommend doing it with XXL saga though

best thing to do id say is hand stitch just the knees to see what it looks like and take it from there

Yeah i tried it today with a pair of like Medium Five pants and i gotta say, they look like fucking shit. The leg tightness was fine, but they were too tight around the boot (just the way the pants were made) and looked stupid

have you got the zip down there which flares the pants out? if not, i've seen a few people cut the bottom of their pants, sew the top of the cut to stop it tearing further and then sew shoelaces through to flare them out manually

there's me and 1 other guy skiing at my indoor, the rest all wear baggy

one of my boarding mates has done the shoelaces thing and he's been riding in them for about a year and he says they are holding up well, he only cut the outer shell as the elastic on the inner bit stretched over

when i used to ride in jeans before i tore the crothc i cut up the outside seam and filled the gap with a bandana, pretty shoddy job but the jeans were dirt cheap and besides, dinosaurs are rad, who wouldn't want them

I'm going to try this definately when I get some time. I'm so skinny so my pants don't fit very well and they bulge out in weird places, so I assume this will fix that hopefully, and I have been wanting some skinnier snow pants for some time now and haven't had any money for any, so thank you!
