Japan skiers, vacation tips?

Hey guys, I'm looking for some tips from people who've spent some significant time in Japan. I went to Tokyo for a month and it's one of the places I've been aching to get back to and see more of the country, why not make a ski trip out of it?!?

I'd like to go for about 2 weeks next year, thinking February ish to chase pow? Where should I go? Are there any expensive considerations I may have overlooked? I want to start getting a better handle of how much I should save.

What have you taken into consideration so far?

I've been to Niseko twice now and you can stay and eat really cheap if you know where to look.

Most backpackers accommodation which isn't right on the mountain (5 minute free bus ride or 20 minute walk away)is super cheap and is also a great way to meet people who know where the good BC spots are and how to get there fast in the morning.

Provided you don't mind noodles you can probably eat for about $4 a meal. Food on the mountain is pretty good and still fairly cheap, you can get curried pork cutlet and rice for about $10 and it usually fills you up.
