Last spring I got a pair of Spatulas. Yay! I didn't mount them, but now that the winter is oh so slowly approaching, I have a problem. That problem is not mounting bindings on a pair of skis with 130mm waists, but rather the issue of ''restraining devices''. Wide brakes are available for most binding. But 130mm is not wide, its uber-wide, and most wide brakes aren't wide enough. The bindings I want, Rossignol FKS 155's are exactlly what I want; all-metal turntable race bindings with a reasonable din range, 6 to 15, but... seeinghow they're race bindings, they probably dont have wide brakes available. And then there's the little problem of the fact that brakes don't even work in powder, so I either go brake-less, which may not be a big deal or use leashes, like those freeheeling telenuts. But, leashes may be an issue in a high speed star-fish, kinda a medival rack.
Any body out there have any experiece mounting wide skis or with leashes? You're advice would be much appreciated, thanks.
