Stabilization Help

What is the type of camera/ editing software/ brain altering substance is used to make some edits very smooth?

I have a stabilizer handle thing, but it just doesnt produce the same effect.

I think its a program or software because the sides of the video look disproportional, and the middle is perfectly steady.

Since i know how much every one loves Simon...

1:54 is the type of shott im talking about

1:54 looks either like a steady cam being used, or a tripod.
if you are thinking how its so well focused on Dumont, i would suspect that is a software/program used (final cut pro?)

well every time there is that super clean shot, there is a discoloration, his jacket is rather orange. i doubt it is just a steady cam/tripod alone. i realize this isnt what you suggested, but i just noticed it
