Late ski season or just a crappy one

I have heard a lot of different responses on what is going on with weather this year so I just want to hear what people have to say about it. Is it going to be just a crappy year for skiing or is it going to be a late season.

well as of now i think it depends on where you are.
there are a few places that seem to be picking up a tiny bit and there is hope of salvaging this season, but a lot of resorts, for example, Bogus Basin, which is in Southern Idaho, have been screwed by this late/shitty season. Since they can't blow snow and snow exactly hasn't been falling lately, plus its been incrediably hot, they still haven't opened. Its January 5th. Last year they opened on November 25th.
Resorts that can blow snow, and where it was cold enough, could get through this dry spell. The other mountain i am lucky enough to ride is Big Sky, and they opened on Thanksgiving, with less then ideal conditions, but at least they were open. Now i hear rumors of them having foots of pow and most of the lifts are open.
