I have applied to some local school here in Ohio but i really do not want to go to school here. If anyone would like to suggest any colleges where I can get high quality skiing/party school in, Colorado, Utah, California, where ever. Any help is appreciated!
Then anywhere that is as cheap as fucking possible. The rest of life revolves around debt, and if you figure to spend any time enjoying life doing what you love, be smart and dont throw your weight around with student loans.
You're talking about your education here, do you not realize that? Sure, you'll do plenty of drinking/partying in college anywhere you go (I know I did), but to choose a school based on skiing and how big of a party school it is, is just straight up idiotic.
That's not what I meant I want end up living somewhere in the west so I figured starting out there in college would be somewhere to start. The current school I have been accepted to I heard it sucks and there's nothing to do there. I just want a school that has a lot to do.
If you want a good school that's near skiing and fun to be at, you should check out Boise State University in Boise, ID. It's where I went to school and where I work at now. It's about an hourish away from Bogus Basin, within two hours or so from Brundage and Tamarack.
Boise State is located just south of downtown. Around the area, you'll find plenty of bars, restaurants, shops, three movie theaters, a few parks and plenty of things to do. On-campus life is pretty great too. The student union building has its own bowling alley and a ton of pool tables.
If you want to learn more about the academics, you should check out this Boise State program called Beyond the Blue. They're actually featuring a podcast right now based around the science of snow. Check it out here: http://beyondtheblue.boisestate.edu/
I'm pretty set on transferring there as a Junior next, next year. I have a friend that goes there and she loves it, Boise is such a chill city. Way underrated!
Before you make your way here, definitely scope that Beyond the Blue site and check out some of the student life and the academics you'll come across as a student. Boise is a lot of fun and you'll have a great time here.
Saint Michael's College, Burlington VT. Smuggler's notch pass included for $30. Can also get student passes at Stowe, Jay Peak, Sugarbush very reasonable.
