can someone please find that thread thall made many years ago talking about one footers? that should set some people straight.

as for the video, first one was better, this one was still sick. tom is probably the best slopestyle skier on the planet right now.

I feel like slo-mo kills his style. Slo mo makes some people look better in edits, but i think toms style is sooooo on point that it just looks better in real time, it doesn't have to be slowed down.

See I was gonna mention the exact same Thall thread and say the opposite of what you just did... I think in 2002 (I think that's when the thread was from, if I remember) nobody had the rail game to make one footers look smooth. Now, with wallisch's rail mastery, he can sw up into a one footer and make it look flawlessly smooth.

Not saying they should become a "thing" (because most people can't pull them off like he can) but don't hate on the trick as a whole. I think it looks dope

I'm open to the one-footers. Sometimes a trick has to look like a joke for a year or two before it can evolve into something sick (take buttering on skis). That said, Pep's words still ring true: one footers look like a dog taking a piss.

It was from 2005. It was quite a discussion and a shitstorm. I for one thought Cagnier was the clear winner and the one-footer was sweet. Everyone has the rail game to make them smooth, but they're such controversial tricks even on the hill that it takes some good publicity to get people doing them more visibly and such get in more practice and their own little nuances.
