Using ML on T3i

Just put ML on my t3i and love it. Just had a couple questions.

How do you cut together the hdr video after it is taken. cause it still has that flicker?

also do you guys ever have random glitch outs every once in awhile. is this normal?

yes i do, i just turn the camera off and back on and it works fine again. i havent installed the newest version yet though so idk about the HDR

Yeh I’m wondering how to do this also. Just installed it and played about with it but unsure on how to do HDR.

i saw something about using a hdr program to combine them, i think you could find something if you poke around the ml site enough.

Just poked around on the site a bit. I figured it out I think. Will be experimenting tonight. Hdr video is just in the ML settings on the camera

yeah but it gives you a flickering video @ 60 fps, which needs to be combined in an hdr program or something.

the only way it can do the hdr trick is by shooting in 60, alternating from one exposure to another frame by frame. these must then somehow be combined in a program to make one 30 fps stream

I'm pretty sure the ML team said that you can shoot at 24p and then interpolate the 2 12p streams and combine them to make a 24p HDR video

actually they said you had to interpolate anyways even if youre shooting 60p because otherwise the 2 differently exposed frames will be out of sync:

I feel like the hdr doesnt look right, im using the after effects workflow and it just has a weird look. Idk, i really don't need it so im going to leave it till theres more documentation on it. The frame rate control is awesome tho. 5fps is the shit for short timelapses.

sounds like a fantastic way to not rack up your shutter count. its lower res, but that sounds great.

seriously this. its too easy to put 10000 actuations on your shutter in a day or 2. and the lower res shouldnt really be a problem, i dont think many people on here edit in 4k anyways

i just went and installed it. with the ML menu open, press the MENU button to switch between easy and advanced mode. its under the movie tab.
