i just got dumped for skiing too much and not spending enough time with my girl.

why cant i find a girl that will actually want to come skiing with me and loves it as much as i do.

DO GURLS LYKE DIS EXIST?

This. I remember the first time I invited a girl to go skiing for the first time. I wanted to shoot myself by the end of the day. I stopped talking to her when she asked when we were gonna go out next.

But then their are the park bunnies. Not to many frequent my hill, but I just found out some girl I met over the summer skis park and we've been heading out every now and then. Shes not the best, but all the dudes get jelly when they see her hitting rails and ride back up the lift with me.

if its your job its something different.

but every hobby is just what it is. of course a good partner should respect your passions and stuff but its not always that easy. lets say you can only see each other during weekends which is also skiing time obviously then you either find a way to make it work or conclude that skiing is more important.

and any women who is less important than skiing must be a solid 7.

I don't know about you, but increasingly for me (and I'm sure for a lot of people on this site) skiing is more than a hobby, it's a lifestyle, even though it's not a career.

Haha seriously. And for the guys saying it would be bad to have a girl who skis as a gf because you want to ski with your crew at the mountain and have guy time...idk about other girls, but for me personally I'd be down to let him go ride with his crew and I'd ride with some friends if he wanted his own time.  Plus you'd be able to go to the mountain together..less gas money/could alternate who drives.

i guess that's where we differ. a hobby i could sacrifice to an extent for love. would i give it up? no, but that's not the debate. you said you would never even miss one weekend of skiing for your man. i think that's looney tunes. if the right girl came into my life and we were really trying to tie the knot, i think i could spend some time away from my hobby for her.

literally everything in your life is part of your lifestyle. so, guess what, also skiing is part of your lifestyle. the way you go to bed and eat in the morning, all part of your lifestyle.

I don't think so, a lifestyle is different to just your life, a lifestyle is something that people identify and define themselves by, so whilst you may brush your teeth in a circular fashion, as opposed to a straight up and down, you are unlikely to strongly identify with that or define yourself as such. This is what makes skiing different, as skiers tend to become obsessed with it and even if it takes up a comparatively small part of their lives, it is a lifestyle for a lot of people, more than other mere hobbies or regular day to day activities. This is a relatively well accepted definition of lifestyle, so maybe calm down on the shooting people.

Girls that love to ski PARK are very rare...
You want girls that love to ski? There are plenty that will just ride around the mountain, or better yet... racers (not).

But really... just move on with life. Want a girl that skis? Then just keep skiing... eventually you will find one.

I am forever grateful to my boyfriend for getting me into park skiing... I've always loved skiing, but I didn't try park until my bf and I started dating. He's always teaching me, and I love it.

That being said, I do believe that someone who loves skiing can have a successful relationship with someone who does not ski. It just depends on the people.

And OP, if you can't find a girl that kills it in the park? Do what my awesome bf did and find a girl that knows how to ski and introduce her to the awesome world of freeskiing. It might take time, but most girls who ski will eventually be able to "keep up with the guys".

Something about having a ball and chain on the mountain which would suck so hard.


Also I suck at skiing enough so the steezy chicks stay away, and I dress like a park rat so I just get weird looks from the gapers as I cut on by.
