Backwards Mounted Bindings

I have a pair of chronics(121-92-117) center mounted but mounted backwards. will this make that much of a difference? i can have them remounted but if it won't be that big a difference I'm not going to worry about it.

any input?

Wrong forum, and yes it will make a huge difference. Because chronics arent a symmetrical ski, they'll ski weird. Your shop should replace your skis if they messed up your mount like that.

since they arent truely symmetrical you need to get them remounted or the shop that did it should give you new skis.

they should defiantly give you new skis for a completely fucked up mount like that.

skis were given to me but I'm just trying to see if that 4mm will make a significant riding difference.

I'd definitely say yes. I'd also make sure you tell whomever gave them to you that they should never use that shop (that mounted the skis) again.

Shops (like any service based business) will always make mistakes. New employees, busy times, bad directions, etc will always happen so don't hate on shops too hard.

Go in and politely explain the problem and ask what they will do for you compensation wise.

In the future, you ALWAYS need to label the tips and tails of your skis, and label on the ski with tape and a marker where you want the midsole of the boot to be mounted. You need to reduce the possibility of a mistake happening as best you can.

when getting my skis mounted, they are entirely taped off and i mark the exact line where to mount, i mark center and put huge fucking arrows on it to indicate the front + i write down instructions :)

make sure your instructions are fool proof, this one time i had written, mount at -3, on the marked line and the shoptech got all confused on wether or not mount on the line which was at -3 or mount at -3 of the line (-6) :P
