pretty much my childhood dream; the father of all jeeps and 4x4s !

last year i came super close to buying a project one, it was in near mint condition, 100% untouched, had several bulletholes, only superficial rust, original engine, etc. the owner was a duke that bought it from a french farmer in the sixties and had been using it for hunting trips around the domain, never changed anything on the car except for the oil and the tires

He asked 6000 for it i was about to buy it when i suddenly get a call from the guy that he gave it to his grandson for his b-day :( my heart broke, that was pretty much the holy grail of jeep restorers ...
