Well, the only way things will get worse is if you overdo it. When you do finally start shredding again (which will likely be around the 10 week mark) you want to make sure that you never leave the ground.
You will know you are good to start charging when you can go full sprint on a track/treadmill without having any discomfort or instability.
But with that said, I am no doctor, and neither is NS. Just listen to what your doc says and definitely go to a physical therapist.
