Conditions are still shit for the time of year. The wind blew away alot of snow up high so horseshoe is probly not gonna open for a bit. Park at breck is really good jumps decent rails. they added like 4 new rails below the earlyseason rails and 3 at the bottom. Freeway line is so prime right now the 4th is pure butter.
Keystone rails are stellar as always jumps are pretty good not great.
The four Mnts in aspen all pretty much suck with a couple places good.
Aspen Mnt- Main trails good due to excessive snow guns.
Highlands Mnt- Wind blown and lots exposed rocks, Especially the bowl.
Buttermilk Mnt- Very few runs decent, Half-pipe is at full glory and Xgames setup started Last Monday.
Snowmass Mnt- A couple decent runs due to excessive snow guns. Coney Glade open with 3-pack Money Booters. 12ft pipe and smaller parks open.
If coming to aspen bring rock skis.
Snowmass Mnt for park, Aspen Mnt for carving, Highlands Mnt to Earn Super Gnar badge, Buttermilk for Gappers or Mega Pipe rats.
The only places with snow right now are wolf creek, ECHO? and anywhere south near the san juans. Now that La nina is going to kick in hopefully conditions change fast now.
Yesterday I was skiing backcountry on my Salomon Guns, so 96 waist, but today I was on my Boone park skis which are 87 waist. When are you coming out? If you're coming out in the very near future, I wouldn't bring a fat ski, but you never know how the weather patterns will change.
