Line skis lifespan

Never owned line skis before...whats the expected life span of the Opus if I ride them hard in steeps and pow and do lots of jibbing? Does line make skis as well (construction, durability, base cores, edges) as the Austrian companies?

Never rode the opuses, but Line makes a pretty quality ski. Not bombproof, but pretty damn quality.

I have the opus and I've ridden them in alot of crap conditions and so far they've held up much better than expected. I even landed on a rock from a small drop and was pretty surprised how little damage there was to the base. I have a set of cryptos that are 3 yrs old that I beat the hell out of and they're still in real decent condition. I also have a pair of mike nick pros that are pretty old and they're essentially like new.(no in not selling them. Lol). So yeah I think they hold up great. Even better than most other companies.

i have a pair of 08 ep pros and a pair of 09 sir francis bacons and i have skied those every day for many season on bigmountain and park ( for some reason) and they are still in really good conidtion, line makes a quality pow ski.

the pow boards are good, other than that except the blendand chronic, are all terrible

No. I can't speak about the opus, but for park skis.
My Ar6s are in the middle of their fourth season while my friends usually go through chronics/anthems/invaders in a season or 2 at the most.

yea they'll hold up for sure! we use fatty base and edge (bigger edges, thicker base material) so you can beat the shit out of them and tune a bunch more. thanks for looking at line!

i blew up a pair of stepups hitting the support of a rail last year, within a few days of riding them. i got em warranteed and ive put huge dents in the edges , near the tips, learning 360 swaps.
not a burley ski, i bet the new construction is probably bunk too.

have you tried the prophets? the influence? or are you saying you only dislike the afterbangs and masterminds which are their most budget conscious skis? "all lines except for the ones that arent masterminds suck" should be phrased as "masterminds suck"

You can not comment on a skis quality with different skiers riding them.  If a park ski lasts you four seasons, you are not very hard on your skis.  While I will agree with you that Armada makes one of the best skis in the business and has excellent customer service, Line is right there as well.  I have never ridden the Opus, but I'm sure it is an excellent ski.

8 weeks of terrible abuse in last years euro-winter, we had more rain than snow and skislopes were like 75%ice/slush and 25%rocks and grass, my EP pros, had no real use but were lots of fun, held up perfectly fine, despite some minor base repairs the ski looks almost mint !

+got a huge sidewall shot when overshooting a drop, i was for sure it was all the way through the sidewall into the wood, but after closer inspection the sidewall was just super beefy and saved my ski :)

Line construction is definatley up there with the other companies you mentioned.

Anyone complaining about the durability of a pricepoint ski, shouldnt buy a price-point ski.

Are line skis price point skis or are they top of the line? I've got the money-I don't need a price point ski, I need the best performing ski I can buy.

Afterbangs and Masterminds are line's price point ski, so everything else they make are super awesome. Line is up to par if not better then other companies durability and construction. Get some lines.
