Whipping your pole

So everyone knows its very addicting to throw your ski pole into the air causing it to flip numerous time before trying to catch it before it hits the ground. But, I want to know if you prefer to go with or without the strap on your poles. Do cut it off or like to leave in on. Post some pics of your coolest grips!

would you rather take the strap that goes around your wrist off the pole or do you just leave it on? and if you make your own grips i want to see some pics

^this is what i wanted to know, i have a friend who cut his poles down and then put bike grips on them so i just wanted to know what other people like to do

dude i got the sickest poles ever, theyre cut down scotts with like plastidip grips and shoelace straps ima get a picture and show you all and you will consequently bow down before them

ive got the line pin poles from this year with the grab tab but im debating ditching the straps so i wanna hear what other poeple prefer to see if its worth my time

thats what i did. well i got the grab tabs from a buddy since hi didn't want them slapped em on my last years pins threw away the strap and never looked back

Unscrew the screw on the top, pull it out and you can slide the strap out of its slot.

1. obtain screw driver
2. remove screw at top of pole
3. take strap off
4.place grabtab on top and screw back on
5. ????????
6. profit.

id say the true reason poe straps exist is because racres have to finish with atleast 3 pieces of equipmetn ie 1 ski 2 poles 1 pole 2 skis and wearing a strap means u cant drop ur pole and get DQ'd for some dumb reason i neer wear them in the park or BC cuz if im eating shit i dont want shapr metal shitck anywere near my body but it also reduces ur chances of having to hike a landing and look like a bitch fro dropping your poles

no poles for life mannn (in the park)
