Hey guys i made this yesterday with Mark Hendrickson and was wondering what you all think. It all tripod because I still am not allowed to ski yet (damn knee) but turned out really well i think. Any pointers or comments you guys have are always appreciated. thanks

thanks man. if you go to vimeo it says exactly what i was using but it was on a 7D and a 501hdv head.

do you find on your 501 it doesn't move as smoothly out in the cold, i was using my 701 yesterday and some pans felt a bit laggy..

not really. i mean if its been sitting in the same position for a while and then i go to move it then it kinda sticks a bit but i just give it a few shakes and move it all around and then its back to normal.

i really liked that, the colors just seemed on point and the filming was smooth with a lot of good angles, well done, the song was also perfect for the edit

i thought it was really cool, there was a couple shots that i wished you hadn't changed angles but kept the same shot for the whole trick, but it didn't really take away from the edit

Wow man! That edit was definitely on point, I really enjoyed it! Critique as hard as possible, I would get some different angles. But I also noticed some shakiness at the beginning of the video around 35 seconds and 38 seconds. Awesome job man! Keep it up!

Damn it, was totally planning on using that song in one of my next edits. It is a sick song. Anyway great job, pans were all smooth, good job linking shots together. Overall good job, you might hate those legs and tripod. But, right now I just want a tripod.

at first I was all like "what brent you skied with me a couple weeks ago?!?!" then i realized the date of this thread haha

still such an awesome edit, would be a pain to tripod film all shots in a park so kudos to that

you have to twist to be able to lock them and its not just a snap so it takes longer as well as i dont have a bowl so that makes it a bit harder. They just arent very strong and feel like pieces of shit. Im looking into getting the new Sachtler tripod that was just released recently.

thanks Jay, yeah filming with a tripod at cop sucks a lot. The only reason that one worked out for me was because i wasnt tempted to ski and do follows.

yeah i like it. id give it like a solid 8 on 10. its pretty sturdy but not amazing with my longer lenses.
