First Time Edit Question???

Alright so this is my first ever edit. Filmed it all with the GoPro and I'm just hoping you guys can give it a few views and give me any feedback that you like or don't like and maybe any helpful hints with settings or editing tricks. Thanks

Well colors were really bland, and there was no stabilization, also I didnt like the music and thought the titles were pretty improffesional. I thought overall it was a decent edit though, so good job for your first time edit. Also no offense but before you post you can just look around the M&A forum and find your answer, there is probably 10 other video critiques and you can just look at feedback there and see if it applies to your video, no problems with people posting video critiques but just for future reference

well the filming wasn't bad sense you were with a go pro, the some was good, there were a few random shots that didn't have to be in there

and i don't mean to sound like a jerk but its not really that interesting watching you ski down random trails, now thats just me sense i like to ski/film in the park but its w.e. kind of edit you want i guess,

Yeah I agree with you on color and stabilization. Its hard to get good shots on a go pro when the light is so extremely flat. Also I agree, cruising around random trails is not nearly as fun to watch as a park shoot but stowe's park wasn't open yet just a miniature version with a flat box. Thanks

well the colors were a little blah like everyone said but you will get better at those with time. and im not a huge fan of edits that are all POV like that or the majority anyway. maybe if you're doing helmet cam shots use only the best clips you have from that and not so much of the stuff in between but thats just my take on POV. not bad for a first edit tho, just keep tryin different angles and shots with the gopro and use the pole cam to film each other too that works really well with gopro.

oh and as far as your style goes (if you were the one filming)...100% legit with the shutout jacket blue pants and ace of spades....thats the exact same thing i have been wearing for these last couple of weeks :P

Color correction always will work to an extent, if you know what you're doing...but yea, they didn't have too much to work with with those grey skies.

this is a lie, if you have a decent editing program you should be able to use a ranged saturation effect.

desaturate the highs to get a good clean white for the snow and then boost the saturation and contrast on the other colors to really make it pop. lots of people actually do everything in their power to shoot flat for that exact reason

you can bump up the whites or mids and make it a little brighter and bring down the blacks for more contrast and add saturation and any combo of that really. just experiment and see what happens pretty much

no not really. i never said it wasn't possible, i meant it in a way that it is harder to get good colors from a greybird day as it is from a bluebird day....

hahah thanks dude... I'm definitely loving my Saga jacket, didn't think it'd be a super warm jacket but turned out perfect for almost any day with an under layer

yeah i noticed that the first day i wore it too, ended up being a pretty stormy cloudy day the first time i wore mine this season and it was awesome
