Awesome story of stolen skis

So today I was at smugglers notch and had to wait a little after four because I couldn't get a ride untile after that. I put my skis down in separate places so they wouldent get stolen. After four everyone leaves because thats when it closes. I came outside an my skisI are missing they are armada ar7s and they are like my children. So like any parent I freaked out when running down the road at full speed (in ski boots) with ski poles in hand ready to kill whoever had my babies. Their was no one in site. I went to ski patrol and told them what happened. They told me to go to the security office wich is in the resort near by. So I drive down there hoping to see the shithead who stole my skis and again nothing. So I drive into the village and start walking towards the office when I see a pair of ar7s so again I take off running jump over a little stone wall (still in ski boots) and their they are just sitting on a ski rack. I have never been more relieved in my whole life.
So too the little piece of shit who stole my skis I say ha and fuck you you will now never get to use the greatest pair of skis on this earth (my opinion don't make a big thing out of that) and if it was you say so on this thread and you will regain some shred of credibility plus I really want to hear you're story. Share any other stolen ski threads here as well

In breck that is exactly what ski thiefs are doing, according to my friends who work security for the mountain. The thief will "move" the skis from end of the resort to another and then wait for like 4 hours until everyone is gone....then take the skis home with them. Its happening more and more at resorts. So this kid's story does sound weird but it is exactly what is going on in Breckenridge. So be aware if you think your skis are stolen, they are probably just "moved."

Why do that when you could just walk away with them from the start?

THIS
another moment where i am disappointed in most of these comments and most of these NSers.
Like for fuck sake, the kid got his skis stolen and found them later! How fucking awesome is that, if that happened to anyone on this site they would be so fucking stoked. And yet there's NSers still giving OP shit and not believing him..
ALSO, it's not hard to drive with ski boots if you have an automatic!

dude you would be amazed. i am doing an internship at my home mountain and have spent the last week in parking. lots of ppl drive with thier boots on. the most retarded thing i have seen. i watched some dumbass 16 year old kid slam into 2 cars because he was driving with boots and got his foot stuck behind the brake and couldnt pull if off the gas.

Oh shit I didn't think there were thiefs at smuggs. I'll have to be more careful. I would've waited behind the stone wall to find out exactly who stole my skis.

Bogus story...you were waiting for a ride and then once you noticed your skis were gone you could drive? Did YOU steal someone's car? Not sure how believable this story but it would make for a good YouTube short...just a thought.

Well now with these new facts brought up to question a bit more, I want to ask:
what would lying about something like this accomplish? Why would the person create an elaborate (or not so?) story? It doesn't fit into any machination of trolling, or just for the lulz, as it's just "Did this, That happened, But everything went better again, The End."
Compulsive lying?
