so ive been looking everywhere for pvc thats bigger than 8" in diameter and i cant find any. i also cant find any thats longer than 10ft. any suggestions? where do you guys get yours? yes i used the searchbar. and no, home depot does not have any of the kind im looking for.
There are plenty of places that sell it. Just google pvc pipe for sale and include your city. The problem is that it has gone up in price. I found a place that would sell me a 20 foot schedule 40 PVC pipe, but they wanted over $200 for it. Most places only sell it in 10 or 20 foot lengths. So there is the small problem of getting a 20 foot long pipe home on ski rack without turning car into convertible.
I have been checking Craigslist to see if anyone has some for sale. I am also thinking about construction salvage yards and maybe even a trip to the dump. I will be making a 15 foot long 10 inch diameter single barrel. If I can't find it at a decent price, I may go with a 6 inch diam dub barrel. That seems like it would be pretty fun too.
Instead of stealing, which works, but you can go to a local construction business and the dont use the pvcs once they cut of the ends, which is perfect, because they just put them in a huge pile and just sit there. it works best of you know someone that works there, but if not, just go and ask if you can have
(your practicaly doing them a favor) one or more of there old or even craked pvcs. they most likely will say yes since they have no use for them. if they dont, u can offer 20$ or whatever, but its better then 200$. this works for me, hope it helps you out!!
I'm in the same boat I am trying to get a big PVC tube for my set up but can't find anything in hardware stores, going searching for construction sites today but so far have been shit out of luck.
yo, I live in NH also, and there is this abandoned stack of 20' lengths of scheduled 80 pvc pipe in the city of Hudson. Industrial thick pipe like that is crazy expensive.
I shit you not, it's been sitting there for over 2 years from an abandoned road project. I pass it everyday going to work.
LOL, i'm seriously thinking about getting some NS'ers together to help me load up my pickup, and then we can divvy them up. There are posted "no tresspassing" signs, and it's near a main road so it's sketch. But it's just fucking sitting there. I'll probably take a pic and post it.
