Broke my jesters

yesterday whenever I did a 5 and landed a little toe heavy my bindings would eject immediately and I blew out on my face. The third time, the black plate that your boot presses on for the brake busted off, and I couldn't find it.

The toe pieces have also become more and more wobbly forward to backward, which doesn't seem normal. The connection looks like it is pressed in and I can't tighten it.

My question is do I empty my bank account and buy new bindings or do you think I can buy a new brake and turn my din up?

You can definitely get another brake plate. I'm not sure about the wobblyness though

I dont really understand everything, but I got myself some new bindings when I got that wobble in the toe pieces of my Jesters.. Didnt trust them anymore, but I heard it was ok.. You dont need to crank up your DIN though,check your forward presure!

you should definitely take your set up into a shop and have them inspect it... something sounds not right and quite unsafe.

took em in and they said the toe piece wobble was normal. I got new brakes and turned my din up to 12 from 9. Adjusted the forward pressure and I'll give it a shot at some point. The skis were only blowing off on hard landings and not presses and stuff, so I'm hoping this will do it.

This sounds like a TERRIBLE idea. If you get pre-release with DIN 9, then try 9.5. If you still have the problem, try 10. Definitely don't go straight from 9 to 12, because that sounds like a knee injury in your future.

To be completely honest i think Marker bindings are some of the worst on the market. I know kids love them and think they look cool, but let's be honest the construction is sub-par. After working as a tech and calibrating almost every binding on the market, jesters, griffons, and most markers calibrate terribly. They pre-release quite often, and have an exposed coil in the heal piece. If something gets stuck in the coil or breaks it, one's binding is shot. I would suggest purchasing a salomon or atomic binding (both made in the same factory and are basically identical). The toe piece on the STH 16 and FFG 16 is arguably the best on the market. In my opinion it releases perfectly, and with wing and toe height adjustment it is compatible with almost every boot. Go with the safest and strongest for you compatible to your body size. If I were in your shoes, I would purchase new bindings.

the tech bumped it to 12, i'm 6' 4" and 185. These bindings were off a buddy,and I am aware that marker doesn't make the best stuff. Nonetheless, I'll give this quick fix a shot.
