This is what happens when you provide the average attention-craving high school girl with a powerful broadcasting tool. The practice of young girls pondering their own ideas and experiences in their diary has been replaced with incessant twitter updates containing little more than pop-rap lyrics and pseudo-philosophical quotations. What was once an act of self-reflection has been replaced with the persevering task of hoarding attention. Nevermind the fact that the extent of her spotlight is proportional to her copy/paste abilities; they're paying attention to me, and that makes me special, right??
