Whats with all the "NS is going down the shitter" comments?

seriously NS is still awesome! look outside of NSG and everything is still very normal. The video's posted by our fellow skiers are appreciated, ski gabber/gear talk is very helpful, there is tons of news and info in the skiing community on this site, and SO much more outside of NSG. The only reason people come to NSG is to be an asshole and look at funny shit, I do it all the time but i also use the site to its potential. So everyone stop bitching and appreciate this awesome site that most uncommon sports don't have.

It's because these are members who were on this site when they were younger and more stoked on NS. I fall into this category, and i'll tell you right now that NS hasn't went downhill or anything like that, you the member that has been here for awhile has just gotten older and wiser.

Fuck i'm curious to see what happens when all these new shithead NSers have been here for years and years, and what they'll think of the newer generation reeking havoc on "their NS".

this and ns is where young park,freestyle, newschool, wtf you want to call it skiers go to talk about skiing, watch ski vids, talk about non ski things w/ people that have a common interest in skiing, blah, blah, blah. Teenagers have been this shit, and we will keep running it for better or for worse.

nsg has gone downhill. The dominance of nsg-only members has led to that.


The quality of ns on the whole, as a skiing source and site, has grown exponentially. Never would have thought it would become what it has.

NS is huge. And the crazy part, its us the members that help make it grow. It was the word to mouth that got this site up and going...that and a kick ass domain!  I wish we can make it bigger: organization and get togethers.

 I attended that P'WND 3 years ago at Moonstone/ St Louis in Ontario and I could not believe how big NS is. Also I got a pretty good idea who the members are. The contest was crazy and the vibe was awesome... Seriously, like 95% of the members are really nice people in reality. (meeting Doug Bishop and Matt Rich was the icing on the cake)

In all I am damn proud to be a part of this community.

But like this is an online site, people can be whoever they want. And the 5% make sure that the rest of us are miserable on this site. they give a bad name to the site. In fact, most people I met at the contest arent frequent users because of this 5% that seem to take over NSG. The best way to keep a good reputation is to crackdown on the flamers and the useless posts... I love to complain about moderation, but they seem to complain as much as I do!

So is NS going to the shitter? no, but nobody flushes the shit in the toilet.
