Tahoe mid january

hey, ill be in for three weeks starting the January the 17th. I'll be staying in donner, and wanted to know which are the best ways to get to squaw and/or northstar. Also, been reading a lot a bout current snow situation and I wanna cry. Forecast says no snow till mid january o later and i am starting to freak out. Any local got any info on this? what are the odds of not having any snow on those three weeks?
