How'd you get into skiing?

just curious. personally, my mom who doesnt ski was the first to take me to a mountain and ive been obsessed since.

my mom started forcing me to take 6 lessons a year when i was 4. i hated it for 2 years then something clicked when i was 6 and i loved it ever since.

my dad took me to keystone when i was like 3. (this is the same guy that shredded jackson hole with straight skis thinner then my AR6s in the 80s) i was the only boy in my group lesson, too.

Back when I was in Boy Scouts there was some skiing merit badge or something, I went to get it and was hooked ever since.

Had been dabbling with aggressive skates for a bit, went to cousins cabin when I was in 4th grade i think and they put my on a pair of salomon snow skates and had me hittin a little kicker we built in the side yard. doin 1's before I ever stepped foot on a mountain.

Unfortunately never skied park till last year since then.

My parents took me to aspen when I was 8, then Deer valley the next year, which got me hooked. However, I went a few years without skiing but ever since I saw the USC edits on youtube I've been obsessed with freeskiing.

I thought I could invent a sport that was ridiculously expensive and depended on weather patterns, so I googled it to see if anyone else had done it and I found skiing.
