gonna be honest, i thought it was gonna be way worse. the angles weren't too bad and it was all pretty smooth imo but the colors were bad. way too blue and gloomy looking. if you were going for that style it was a little too much. maybe a little more subtle color tweaking so its just enough to give a feel instead of drastically changing the whole image. just a thought for the next one. and i liked most of the audio in there except i usually don't like hearing the filmer unless its extremely crazy and those tricks where you could hear you were cool but nothing super special so i would cut those. and liked the song choice.
other than what has been said about colors and audio, I don't like that one spot where it cuts to black early on, just didn't seem to fit quite right, but I think I know what you were trying to do. also maybe add a title or a slight opening sequence/ a tiny bit of lifestyle footage. I thought you actually did a really good job not shooting wide open and not having everything being extremely shallow dof. very solid first edit, definitely on the right track unlike some with their first dslr edits
I would check the white balance on your camera because it looked like it was on tungsten or fluorescent. Even when it's cloudy it shouldn't come out that blue.
for the OP it looked like you were using auto settings. but it wasn't terrible. I just mostly noticed that many of your shots were not sharp and they were out of focus
Defintly look at your white balance. You probably have it at AWB. which gives it that glare look. try using something else. or if you wanted a little different colour. expeieremnt with the custom white balnce setting. and try a lower iso as well since it was out side on a bright sunny day. and for filming tips, try not to shoot towards the sun, but always have it behind you as it will give you nive colour. But dont worry ill help you next time we go film
also i find after shots when you go to black, i mean i get that your trying to got with the beat of the song, but i think it just ruins the flow of the edit IMO, but it was really good other than the color, angles, filming and skiing was all good
