but i downright hate how people treat politicians. i dont know one nor do i want to become one.
but if politicians deal with some topic, half of the people ask if they dont have anything better to do. if they eventually do something, half of the people say that its bullshit/too little too late, etc. if they dont do anything, half of the people ask what they are waiting for.
Here in Australia our government has spent $15 billion in the current electoral term keeping the independents and Greens happy (upon whose support the government currently relies to retain power because they didn't secure enough seats). Its a disgrace.
Ya spend less than we take in. Listen to what people want not big business and lobbies. Be fiscally sound consistently. Don't help other countries if we have shit to fix here. Leave issues like gay marriage, abortion, and drug offenses up to states. Dont let politicians make a career out of it. That is all.
The two party system isn't the problem. The problem is the 17th amendment. If we repealed it then we could get rid of all the shitty politicians in the senate, they would work for the states, and they would make a lot less money.
