My Brother: The Gaper

I have two brothers. One, like me, looks pretty fresh. The other rocks at least a 3 inch goggle gap, poles pretty much up to his shoulders, 05' Screams that are a foot and a half shorter than him, and 03' Bolle goggles. He isn't bad at skiing, he just looks like a moron. I still enjoy his company on the slopes but it's pretty embarrassing.

Does anyone else have gaper relatives/friends? Go ahead and talk about them.

aha i feel you. got cut up by my sister coming into a jump like right before i was going off the kicker. it was a small poppy kickeri had built myself. i fucked up in the air and landed on my bag which had my spare lens in it. it broke and i bruised my back.

My brother is 20 and a hardcore gaper, And we've been skiing together since like 6th grade. I've come to accept his state, most people on the slopes are gapers too. We're all gapers on the inside. Just silly gapers hiding behind XXXXXXXXL Jiberish and Oakley goggles.

gapers are always having so much fun. Its always an epic day for them no matter what the conditions are. Sometimes it puts a smile on my face to see gapers having such a great time doing the lamest shit. I miss those days.

Who gives a shit about how you dress, just worry about how you ski.

Not that I would ever truly be embarrassed to ride with anybody, but I'm way more critical of people who spend a lot of time on how they look yet suck at skiing than people who just are newbs at both. Then again, I'm kind of a cynical asshole. I consider anybody who rides park and looks cool but can't at least, for instance, do a good switch 7 to be a little bitch. Diddo for all mountain skiers who can't rip moguls or execute a good turn on steeps.

what do you mean by "spend more time on how they look"? I mean, you can order a saga jacket and a pair of their pants, but that doesn't mean you've spent al ot of time on how you look.

yes...he's a funny chill kid but he wears racing boots a junior helmet a pair of 10 year old goggles not much bigger then a pair of sunglasses so he always has gaper gap, but he thinks he makes up for it by wearing a line tooby.
and he sucks at skiing

when i started skiing i wore a bright orange columbia jacket, skinny rei pants that i put inside my boots, and a rainbow colored beanie with girls sunglasses. but i was still the best skier on the mountain.

the first crew i went skiing with in college looked like they were dressing for gaper day. like flamboyantly gaper. but they fucking shredded, AND drank like fish. I was the best dressed, with the best skis, and got left in their dust on most runs. the only issue was that one dude refused to alter his dins past were the shop set them, so he would pre release every other run while charging in complete control.

I think its fucking awesome when there are low-key rippers.

This exactly. I know have more respect for the kids in hand-me down shit that are sending it as hard as they can, compared to guys who look dope but don't really care about skiing.

not really at all, the majority of gapers I see are complaining about the temperature or saying how they don't feel well or tired and how they hate skiing in the snow. These are all from today...
