imho foam pits, tramps, water ramps and airbags allow upcoming skiers to easily catch up with the pros and become well rounded. They can expand their trick bag enormously in 1 season without having to really push the limits of what is safe for them to try ...
and for the pro skiers, imho the sport can progress in two ways, Style and pure difficulty/complexity of the tricks, i know most of you would opt for "style" but the truth is that the future is an even balance between the two...
water ramps, airbags, foam pits etc. can contribute enormously for pros to get new tricks and improve their overall air-awareness without risking their skin. i wouldn't want to try new "pushing-the-limit" hucked doubles or even triples on monster jumps or in a superpipe for the first time, failing those is pretty much death, so in those cases training on airbags, foam pits, waterramps etc. can enormously improve confidence and awareness of the athletes without risking their livelihood, hell i'd even say it would be foolish to push the limit of our sport without access to any of these facilities ....
