So I figured there was a fair amount of nsers from the area who will be traveling up to hv/kb. If you are just post up in this thread for the winter. Maybe majority of us can get together and ski.
I know there are a few other threads about hv or kb but just let them die and if you're going post in here!

HVs gonna close after sunday and then re-open Friday for one last weekend. Closing day will be the 12th. Yodeler lift only so no parks but who cares haha. Full details, prices and times listed on their website under tickets so u no its real. Jah feel jahliday valley.

SkierGuyNickI had to pick on you because you called me out before.

For real though I was super impressed with the morning star lift park. Was dope. The fast lift made for some fast laps for sure.

Also impressed by the number of skiers. You guys had it right. Looks like the ski scene was pretty solid! Hopefully next season they build on what they got going on for a park.

But Ya we seem to get like 5 new park rats every year there, it's nice to see a younger scene developing similar to the way we all did.

So we're working to put together a trip from Buffalo to iF3 next september. It's estimated to be about $200 for transportation, a hotel, and gold pass into all the movies and parties for the weekend. Hit me up if this is something you would be interested in!

Basically any of the trails serviced by the yodeler lift, or some of the steeper trails off marti-gras like firecracker. Also eagle still had snow, went and hiked that this past weekend. Im gonna guess two more weeks of hiking until its all gone..

Really dope new kink made of Popsicle sticks this year gonna be dope, possibly a park pass but then we wouldn't get to watch the youngins get their neck slit from sitting in the landing.

i can see what you mean, but what if you have a bunch of buddies come with you one weekend, then they all have to get the park pass. Seems kinda inconvenient

I live in the town adjacent to Colden/Glenwood where KB is. We had 6.5 feet of snow and KB got 2 inches during that one huge storm. It was so sad.

Also Who's got a summer setup in Hamburg? I saw one a couple of weeks ago in someone's yard and it looked sick


Kb has been working on some major aesthetic updates around the lodges, parking lot, etc. this summer.They took down coal chute and they just bought new groomers and got snowmaking stuff(not sure of the specifics). I believe they are working to upgrade their lifts but thats still a work in progress. Park will probably be the same. Last year was a transition year with park staff(and all mtn staff for that matter) so hopefully it goes a little better. I ski and work there - last year was actually pretty fucking sick in my opinion.

lol kb was total shit last year no offense. if i remember correctly, i dont think they even opened till like the first week of January, and the park was totally wrecked this year. a couple years ago the park was actually pretty dope, but in typical kb fashion they screwed up.

For myself and the rest of the vanboiz (mikey, chris, brad, mo) we all use to ski at kb, it was the shit back in the day. Recently though it's just gone to shit which sucks. Hopefully theyll rebound soon.

it would suck to see them keep on going in the direction they are. Their location is the best thing they have going for them. 20-25 minutes from the center of orchard park, and basically a half hour closer than HV for pretty much everyone around here haha. i live 5 minutes away from kb so the convenience is dope and if the park was what it used to be, then id prolly see myself buying a seasons there. But its hard to pass up on the 3rd best resort on the east (ski mag or whatever) when its just another 30 min of driving. But its a shame to see kb going in the wrong direction

Rumor has it KB sacked all their park crew once again and might not even have a park or just wont have an actual park crew to build it. No idea if that's true, dude at snowflake told me that. It would be hard to do worse than they did last year haha. Hopefully they get it together. HVs park situation is largely unchanged, they added those hkd fully automated snow makers to fiddlers so they will be able to open park earlier and keep it open later and said they're going to toss more time and resources into the parks. Any KB kids making the switch? Curious if there will be any new faces around the valley.

Whattt? No fucking way. That crew seriously did suck though. Bunch of new guys. I can't tell you how many times they smacked me with the racks while getting on the lift(i was a lifty). One of the skiers wasn't able to hit anything they built and over all they just seriously had no idea what was going on. That stupid fucking golf ball box? What the fuck was that?

Anyways I hope they get their shit together. I hate Holiday's management/corporate people but KB is just so disappointing lately.

im making the switch, i was at holiday a lot last season, but i was at kb way more. you'll be seeing alot more of me haha.

i hate hating on kb because i grew up skiing there and loving it, and hate doesn't really help anyone, but kb was the worst its ever been last year. I still was there around 3 or 4 times a week though, so it really could've been a lot worse.

damn if thats true about kb, that really sucks. Maybe all of the park riders in the area could get together and just set up kbs park haha. Im making the switch to holiday valley this year by the way

I went to the last few ones they had. They're pretty fun, the setups kinda suck but it's great to get to ski anything at this point. I won't be there this year because fall fest in evl is the same weekend.
