i fucking hate when people mess with classics. you dont mess with wu, its already perfect, same deal when people mess with and make remixes of classic rock songs.
No its really not. Hip-hop and dubstep are coming from very much the same place, its a lot of the same ideas. MCs spit lyrics, GOOD dubstep DJs spit bass. Its relative, put the two together and you have a dope finished product. Don't listen to it if you don't like it.
Hip-hop is rhythmic, sample-based music, classic rock is instrumental. It works because the production styles are fairly similar for hip-hop and bass music. One has beats and lyrics, one has beats and bass. Its such a logical combination.
I could argue that the Wu shouldn't have fucked with the samples they used to make their music because those songs were already perfect, but then we wouldn't have 36 Chambers would we? The point isn't to remake the track, its to make a new piece of music. Appreciate it for what it is.
Besides, Excision's tunes WILL be classics. He's a revolutionary dubstep producer, just like the Wu were revolutionary for hip-hop. Brought something new, ya know? And that Biochemical equation remix is fucking MEAN.
I hate NS for threads like this. Just try to produce some music, then come back here and hate on these guys. I guarantee you won't.
